The Wye Valley is a short run south-east of our workshop, and the stretch we work in is a designated national landscape. That changes the conversation when you are building in it: what a structure looks like from the far bank is part of the discussion, and oak sits in that landscape more easily than most things.
Some of our projects are here, on both sides of the river. An oak frame car port and an oak frame porch at Tintern, on the Monmouthshire bank, both of which we designed and built. And an oak balcony at Brockweir, just across the water in Gloucestershire.
